Scholarship for Learning English

At the Winged Foundation, we strongly believe in the transformative power of education, and we are committed to providing opportunities to individuals who have traditionally been marginalized and excluded from educational opportunities. In this spirit, we are pleased to announce a new scholarship program, called the Wingecycle2 project, that aims to provide English language learning opportunities to individuals from underserved communities.

Learning English as a second language can open doors to a world of opportunities, including access to higher education, better employment prospects, and the ability to communicate with people from all over the world. Unfortunately, English language instruction is often inaccessible to individuals from low-income backgrounds, especially in non-English speaking countries.

To address this issue, we have established a scholarship program that will cover the costs of English language instruction for individuals who come from underserved communities. This scholarship program is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on supporting those who face significant barriers to accessing education.

We are proud to announce that Emilse, a 22-year-old member of the Cubero ethnic group from the department of Vaupés, is the first beneficiary of our scholarship program. Emilse is a tour guide and a member of an association of indigenous youth focused on working with indigenous communities and carrying out responsible and cultural tourism projects.

Emilse's story highlights the importance of language learning for individuals from underserved communities. With the scholarship, Emilse will have the opportunity to improve her English language skills, which will help her communicate more effectively with people from around the world. This, in turn, will open up new opportunities for her in terms of education and employment, and will help her to better advocate for the rights of her community.

We are excited to see the impact that this scholarship program will have on the lives of individuals like Emilse, and we are committed to continuing to provide opportunities for individuals who face significant barriers to accessing education.
