Big Hello From Our Duck !

We are pleased to greet you with our very first newsletter! We've been planning this space for you for several months, so now we are happy to finally have it here with a nice design, and so many things to show you.

Looking back

Seeing how The Winged Foundation is growing, expanding, welcoming new people to the team, and starting new projects has been quite aspectacle for all of us. We have been working with our Partner Liliana in Vaupés, located in southeast Colombia, in a place where nature, traditions, and lovely people are the main characters. We were there for a whole day with the community, who learned a lot about The Winged foundation and what we want to achieve, and we offered Vaupés children and youth the opportunity to learn and develop some great skills that will improve their lives.

Looking Forward

Our goal is to work on projects that can help us spread our wings even further. We want to help children and youth in poverty to acquire English as their second language since we believe this can help them overcome their situation.

For Latin American people knowing English is life-changing since is the most spoken language in the world, and this can mean them being able to take opportunities outside Colombia and change their lives and their family's lives (just as some of us did). We are going to provide scholarships for them, so they can study English as their second language and that way help reduce the poverty cycles and give them better opportunities for life.

We want to assure them they will have a much brighter future than they expect in the environment they grow in, and we want to do this by supporting organizations and projects that meet these goals.
